The Regenda Group have a legal responsibility to carry out a safety check on the gas appliances in all our homes at least once a year.
We also take the opportunity to service the gas appliances whilst carrying out the safety check in order to minimise the risks of breakdowns to your heating system throughout the year. This leaflet tells you about our policy on gas servicing. Gas Servicing Leaflet
Arranging a gas service
We will tell you at least two weeks before we intend to service an appliance and try to make an appointment at a convenient time. You must make every effort to give us access and allow us to complete this work. We can take action, including legal action including obtaining an injunction against you, to make sure we carry out our duty to do this work.
Pre-pay gas meter
If you have a pre-pay gas meter you must have at least £5 credit on the meter in order for the service to be carried out. Residents with no credit available at time of service will be charged a call out fee, as it is impossible to service and test your central heating system with no gas supply.
